people of prayer

The Lord has called us to be a people of prayer, a people whose gaze is continually on him. He has called us to be a people set apart, a people in this world but not of it. He has called us to the poor and the widow and to be a voice to the voiceless. He has called us, his body, to stand with him, the great intercessor, on behalf of those staggering toward death. We are his church, we are his bride. What does it look like to walk out these values? What does it look like to love one another actively, while gazing on our Lord and God? What does it look like to continue to build the things he has called us to build, while we reach outside of our immediate spheres to bring his good news to those who must hear it?

Lord, give us your spirit of wisdom and revelation. Show us the path.
