There are three primary realities that sustain my heart in prayer; the worthiness of Jesus, God enjoys us, and The Lord responds to Prayer.
The first reality is that Jesus is worthy. He is worthy because of who He is and what He does. Worship is a response to the revelation of the goodness of God and in intercession we declare the activity of His goodness. Revelation 4-5 gives us a glimpse into heaven where God’s glory is unveiled. All who behold His beauty declare His worth day and night.
“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)
“You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation 5: 9b-10)
